I did try a 46 meanline slalom with 8.4 but it felt too smal. Next time will try with my Tectonics Mirage 46, it has a bigger area. Also purchased a Select 51 RS7 for bigger sails.

fins for isonic 131 wood carbon (2010)

hi,
I've purchased an isonic 131 in new condition. Can anybody tell me what fins are good for this board with RS Racing 8.4 and 9.0.

Friday I've tested the Vmax 39 with RS Racing 7.8 on the 2012 107 and got over 32 knots with it. It's a great fin. I've ordered a 35 for my 97 with 6.7/ 7.2

Definitely the 107, 6.5 is too small for the 117, and 7.7 is the sweet spot for the 107.

In the meantime I've used the 2012 107 with my RS Racing 7.2 combined with a select sl7 39 - great combo on flattish to slightly choppy water.

First ride on the 107 today, with RS Racing 7.8 and custom kai hopf 42 slalomfin. This board is awesome. Stays really flat on the water, great gybing, very high speed potential, good in choppy water....

Today i was on the 97 with racing 6.2 and tectonics gw 36 fin: great in control and speed. The 97 is a lot more high wind than the older 101's were.

no worries Kapten, I really like the 97 (wood). It's for sure faster then the previous 101, due to more control in higher winds. The downside is that the 2010 101 was able to handle bigger sails more...

Hi,
Last year I've tried te 107 2011, fantastic. I bought the 97 then, but like that for 6.7 and 7.2, a 107 for 7.8 /8.4 sails would be more ideal.
What is the 2012 version like? Big differences...
