Fin type suggestion - 2010 FU101

Hi all,

I'm looking for a 35-ish cm fin for fast freerace/slalom sailing in rough sea/bay conditions. Something that'll grip well and not spinout too much. Was thinking the Select SO7 or SO9 but am un-sure if these would be suitable for the Futura and the conditions. Any idea's? Thanks.

Hi RadiantX,

We are testing many fins include this one and this doesn't fit perfectly to the Futura particularly for the lenght balance and jibe. The best one we found until now is the C3 Venon 36. Perfect lenght balance who fit perfectly the rockerline and very fast a smooth jibe even in strong choppy condition.

Thanks Remi. Yes, you have helped a lot. I'm wondering if I can ask a few more questions regarding sizing of the Venoms.

I'm a 81kg rider and wanting this fin for use with a 6.5m sail and the Futura 101. Nicely powered up conditions to even a little over powered. What size would you suggest?

Hi RadiantX,

I am curently in Vietnam at Mui Né and condition are particularly hard with wind between 20 and 30 knots and my best set up is right now with the C3 Venon 36 with a 6,2, so should be the same for the 6,5.
I am 88kgs.
