Hallo Remi,
for expert kg 78 racing sailor, using to sail the whole sail sizes in a slalom quiver and used to the IS 127 (with good fins),when the new 117 is gonna overtake the 127?In what wind? What condition? Is it bigger the gap between the 127 and 117 or the gap between the 110 and the 107 ? Has the new 117 improved the planning ability over the 117w? Trying to figurate out if using a 9,2 on the new 117 I can leave the 127/9,5 at home (being as fast in a race course)... If not it's clear the interest turns on the new 110 (which I've read is always better with the 8,6 BUT gives up in steady 7,8 rough water conditions...). Very hard decision! What's new on the '13 107 compared to the 2011 one? thanks |

Hi Unregistered,
If you want to go for 8.6, the 110 will be the one, 9.2 the 117 & 9.5 the 127 but according to your weight the most efficient will be 110/117. Taty Franz (76 kgs) will be on 110 next year as bigger board. Hope this help All the best

I mean:
-when the 117/9.2 is as competitive as the 127/9,2 ? To me and from what we have seen in 10-13 kts the 127/9,5 has a clear edge over everything in the water! Is it changed with the new boards? -Off course the 110/8,6 is the best when the wind is steady for 8,6 but, guess, then too big to be efficiently sailed with the 7,8 flat out.Is the gap with the 107 enough big to justify both board in a quiver or not? -Same thing for the 117.Is it enough different with the 127? Sorry, but very difficult to decide.... |

Hi Unregistered,
The combination since 2 years already of 117 Wide and now 117 with 9.2 is better than 127/9.5, you don't have enough weight to accelerate on this combo and a very good jibe. So the safe way for you will be 117/9.2 then you have the 107/7.8. All the best

Hi Unregistered,
<you have all details on our web but the results on water is that the board is more slippery, fast exit jibe, more acceleration and more speed due to the less wet surface you have on the board. You feel better connect with the fin too. Hope this help All the best
