2013 Isonic first impressions
Hey guys it would be great to here what 2013 Isonic boards you are getting and how they are going.

Bit sad replying to your own post but what the hell.
2013 carbon 127: First go and this board is super quick for its size. Board felt awesome straight away. Feels like a mini formula board. It feels very free and slippery over the chop. |

What sail did you use on the 127 and how many kg do you weigh ? With what boards are you comparing ? Isonics of last year or 2,3,4 years ago ?

I have a new 2013 IS 127 and found it gybed extremely and well and certainly felt more compact underfoot when plaining and I weigh 86kgs...

BelSkorpio, I used to have the 2012 127. The new one does feel different. Th deck is not scooped at the front like the previous model. You feel like the ride is higher at the back. Also I think its the new tail cuts that make it feel slippery and glides. I had the R3 7.8 with 46cm fin in 12-15 knots, not flat conditions but not really rough either. Yesterday had the R3 8.6 in 8-12 knots with 48cm fin. Just planning in 8 knots with a lot of pumping onto the plane. My weight is 82kg.

Finally got to use the new 2013 carbon Isonic 90 and boy does this board fly. Put the footstraps in the middle position front and back, hopped on and didn't have to adjust anything. Its the best feeling when you hop on an new board and you just feel so comfortable straight away. It feels so fast and jibes like an 87. In fact it feels a lot more like an 87 than last years 90. I love this board.
