Right here goes
I am an experienced windsurfer (93kg). I sail on the southcoast (uk) and have a 100L & 85L freestyle wave. My largest sail is a 6.2. (I plan to keep both current boards). I fancy getting a lightwind board which I can lob my 6.2 onto in those light wind conditions (and would consider going up to a 7.5m sail). Based on the above, which I sonic would you recommend? I want something which will work with sail range of between 6.2-7.5 effectively but which will enable me to go out in light wind conditions which my 100L freestyle prevents me from doing currently. I don't want to end up with a board which is too close to my 100L but conversely I don't want to buy a board which will end up being too large for the above sail range either. Your help would be appreciated Cheers Mr C |

At your weight, I'd suggest a 133 as a minimum.
And since you obviously want more time on the water, get a 7.5 to go with it ! |

And perhaps a bit bigger sail.

6.2 is a very small sail for a 93 kg slalom sailor. Even a 7.5 is small. If you will go as small as possible, but still be able to have lots of fun sailing before you can sail your freestyle you should probably go iSonic 110 and race/freerace 8.4. There should be no problems for you to hold down that sail until you will be on your freestyle and 6.2.

What sort of sails do you intend on using?

Hi Mr C
Hum you might think different and go for a 7.8 minimum and 110 iSonic then you will have light wind performances and when start to to strong go for your actual equipment. Hope this help All the best
