Hi,
I have an Isonic 122 2008 and I want to go for a smaller board. I want to use in medium and high winds because I usually sail with Formula boards (167W). I want to use these board only with stronger winds and I usually sail in choppy water. What do you think? Remi? My weight 83kh height 1,91m Thanks |

hi marvin,
i think one size (width) down switch would be perfect for you, which is the iSonic 107. From 75cm to 68,5cm width makes significant easier use in stronger wind. dont worry about the feeling 'cos the too big volume different, because the 122 was only 114 liters and the current 107 is 105 liters. with this 167W/107 board combo the overlap is minimized. but you are still able to play with a 8,6 in medium wind too - if you wish on slaom board. (BUT... if you want to switch from formula to slalom in fw10sqm stabile over power condition you can thinking on 97 too.) the 107 little bit longer too than the old 122, so get early planning is not really big different. hope its help, gyurmo |

You will find that the 107 works very well with sail sizes from 7.0 to 8.5 (the sweet spot being 7.5), and that it remains comfortable even in choppy conditions, so I think that it would be a really good choice, with no over lap with your Formula. The 107 is better suited to choppy waters than the 122 or the 110.
