Thanks again everybody for the really helpful insights! The range is what got me to go for the Futura in the end. Live in Sweden so still ice on the sea but will let you know once i get out there on the new board...

Both boards are great. I have both. For heavy chop I use the carve. No question about it.
If the board handles chop better it will be a faster and more enjoyable ride.
Sail size the fu111 will handle a 7.5m the c111 will handle a 7m as the biggest for comfort.

Just to let everybody know how the story ended. I did buy the Futura 111 Carbon and sailed it for the first time this weekend. What a board, it's nothing short of great! Never been on something so stable at really high speeds, also planes early and super easy to jibe. Chop is no problem, not great but not bad either. Only complaint is the system that stops the foot straps from twisting, doesn't work for me at all, so need to do something there.

Again, thanks for all help in getting this decision right!
