Mid-size Freeride range. Longer and narrower designs for a user-friendly foiling experience. Various volumes and sizes allow riders with a basic level of riding to get up on foil easily, while intermediate riders will enjoy light wind winging and easy freeriding in all wind conditions.

WHO IS THE ABOVE FOR?

Similar to riding a bike, the longer length and narrower width of the Above board help you glide earlier and faster. This creates greater stability by gaining momentum rather than simply trying to balance—just like riding a bike. As a result, there is rising demand for these “mid-length” style designs. The Above caters to a wide range of riders, from entry-level to advanced. More stable than an Ace, more efficient than a Take Off, the Abve is a blend of these 2 designs.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE SHAPE?

Additional volume in the nose and tail allows for an even stance over the foil before takeoff, while the combination of a longer and narrower outline easily generates speed for early lift-off. A parallel nose with sharp rails gives the Above easy-to-recover touchdowns with instant rebound. The Above concept was inspired by blending our favorite models, incorporating speed and fast lift-off from our narrower Ace range and ideas from our top designs over the years.

Vee Shaped Nose

Inspired by the proven X-15 and Take Off ranges, the Vee nose reduces drag for early take-offs, allowing you to get up flying faster. It is more forgiving on touchdowns, enabling quick recovery to rebound and continue flying. The nose is slightly wider than the Ace Foil, providing greater control and stability before flight.

Parallel Mid-section

The mid-section of the outline is kept straight for a predictable and balanced ride. This improves overall stability and tracking for a controlled glide to take-off.

Flat Deck

The deck is kept flat to utilize the full width, offering more space and comfort from these narrow outlines. It remains thin over the foil for control and responsiveness, while the nose and tail volume balance the trim.

Round Pin Tail

Drawing from the success of the Ace, the pin tail helps pop the board out of the water. As you shift your weight to sink the tail, the nose lifts, forcing you to lift out of the water. The tail has a slight Vee for an efficient release, ensuring fast speed and efficiency. The wider tail offers more stability for a controlled take-off.

Boxy Rails

Boxy rails reduce the overall width while maintaining the stability of a wider board, leading to better efficiency and faster take-offs. This design feature, inspired by years of race development, allows riders to manage narrower boards easily.

Bottom Shape

A rounded vee nose helps for efficient take offs and recovers well on touch downs, feeding to a flat bottom for maximum stability, exiting with a round tail for a smooth release.

Customisable Inserts

Triple inserts are provided with the Above, giving you the ability to customise your footstrap position.

14” US BOX

The 14″ US box with a rear slot provides various foil positions depending on the foil type, riding style, and conditions.

CARRY HANDLE

Our largest Above models feature a large carry handle for easy carrying, while medium sizes are fitted with the mini handle. The smallest Above model has no handle for further reduction in weight.

FOOTSTRAP SET INCLUDED

Designed for optimal comfort and performance in wingboarding, the footstrap features premium Yulex neoprene for a soft yet secure fit. With a 60-degree angle, it molds perfectly to your foot. Multiple screw holes offer adjustability, allowing riders to customize their positioning and angle.

Board Sock Included

Reduces paper waste while protecting your board from dust, scratches, and UV damage. Made with stretchable polyester, it fits various board shapes. Ensure optimal board maintenance with the iconic blue Board Sock, featuring a secure drawstring closure.

Rider Weight: up to 115 kg

The largest in the range, the 7’4” floats riders of 100kg+. The thin deck over the foil ensures optimal control and response when flying. Volume distribution in the nose and tail helps balance the trim before flight, while the boxy rails provide stability and ultra-fast performance.

6’10” x 21″ / 101L

Rider Weight: up to 100 kg

At 101L, this 21” wide board propels off the water quickly yet provides the comfort and stability of a wider board. The flat deck makes it surprisingly spacious, and the Vee nose and pronounced rocker aid in recovery on touchdowns.

6’6″ x 20″ / 90L

Rider Weight: up to 90 kg

Unlike shorter, wider boards, the 6’6” is efficient in light winds. The Vee nose and slight rocker accelerate with ease, while the 20” flat deck offers the comfort of a wider board.

6’0″ x 19″ / 73L

Rider Weight: up to 85 kg

This board floats lighter riders up to 65kg and provides a comfortable board for heavier riders to get flying fast. The length helps generate ground speed quickly for early take-offs, while the narrow width feels very agile in the air.

5’6″ x 18″ / 59L

Rider Weight: up to 75 kg

The smallest size in the range, designed for lighter weight or advanced riders needing fast take-offs with maximum maneuverability and control in flight. The 18” width releases effortlessly, making it ideal for performance and ease.

• Get flying faster with a lighter board. Using Top-Grade 150g Biaxial Carbon, the board is significantly lighter in weight yet super strong and stiff. A custom process creates a double stringer that boosts breakage strength and stiffness.

• Reinforced Standing Area: High-density PVC and wood reinforcements over the foot strap inserts enhance durability and prevent heel dents.

• Maximum Stiffness and Rigidity: Lightweight biaxial carbon fiber on the deck and bottom ensures stiffness and rigidity. A PVC stringer prevents impact damage and secures the foil box for a stable ride.

Limited Series Foilboard

TIMELESS LOOK, SOLID PERFORMANCE.

• Super-strong and lightweight biaxial carbon fiber is laminated on the deck and bottom over the foil box for maximum stiffness and rigidity. A PVC stringer prevents impact damage and creates a secure mount for the foil box.

• Double-reinforced rails provide additional strength and stiffness, while multiple layers of fiberglass protect the entire board.

• Australian pine wood in the standing area offers extra impact resistance and rigidity in the most critical impact zone.

• All inserts feature high-density foam reinforcements, along with added rail and nose reinforcements for extra durability.
