ALL-NEW STARBOARD PISTOL GRIP WING BOOM

Choose between Aluminium or Prepreg UD Carbon Pistol Grip booms to pair with your new Starboard Wing based on your budget and preference. The ergonomic, soft-touch design offers semi-flagged control, easier tacking and gybing, excellent roll control, and a non-slip, comfortable grip for longer sessions.         

      

PISTOL GRIP HANDLE

The pistol-grip boom offers a comfortable hand position and doubles as a firm semi-flag handle, perfect for riding between the boom and flag-out positions — ideal for waves or generating momentum downwind — making transitions smoother and more controlled.

SOFT TOUCH OVAL PROFILE

The soft-touch oval boom fits naturally into your palm, locking into your hand shape for ergonomic handling. This improves roll control and comfort in maneuvers, preventing the boom from rotating inside your hand and making every movement more precise and secure.

NON-SLIP SANDED EVA GRIP

Sanded EVA creates micro-friction that gets grippier when wet, giving secure control while staying smooth and comfortable. Unlike moulded grooves that create pressure points and can get painful, sanded EVA stays easy on your hands even during long sessions.

ERGONOMIC BOOM ANGLE

The boom’s forward section is raised to give your front hand a neutral, straight-arm position, reducing back-hand fatigue. It also provides more space for the pistol grip and simplifies the strut shape, as the ergonomic angle is built into the boom itself.

SCREW & GO

Simply and securely mount your boom of choice using the 2x torx screws and torx key provided with the raised side of the boom on the front side of the strut closest to the leading edge.

Compatible with all Starboard freeride wings between sizes 4.5 - 7.0m².
