In a dominating display of paddle strength, Japanese Dream Team rider Rai Taguchi took decisive victories in both the Long Distance and Technical events, which was held in Shinmaiko, Aichi Prefecture. The combined wins see Rai take the overall Japanese Champion title — a good boost ahead of the ICF SUP World Championships which will take place next month.
“I am very happy to be the youngest person in the history of the men’s class to win two titles at the memorable 10th All Japan Championship. Japan’s level is steadily rising, and the success of young paddlers was outstanding. I will continue to fight on the front lines for paddlers who are aiming to beat me.”
