Is your inflatable board leaking air or not holding pressure? It might be time to replace the air valve — and it’s easier than you think! In this quick tutorial, we walk you through the entire process of changing the valve using the tool from your repair kit.

Here is your step-by-step guide how to do it correctly:

Step 1 - Use the air valve key from the repair kit to loosen the old valve by turning it counterclockwise.

Step 2 - Unscrew the valve the rest of the way by hand and remove it. Be sure to keep the plastic basket inside the board in place.

Step 3 - Take the new air valve and insert it into the basket from the outside of the board.

Step 4 - Screw the new valve in by hand, turning it clockwise. Make sure the valve is centered within the air valve rubber ring.

Step 5 - Finish tightening the valve securely using the valve key to ensure a proper seal.
