#1 - Patented Top Plate System
Our exclusive Top Plate System connects the mast directly to the carbon plate, giving the board a true composite feel. Your feet are now less than 1.5 cm above the mast base, creating the most direct and responsive ride ever achieved on an inflatable foil board.
#2 - New Carbon Plate
The New plate is 2 cm longer for extra standing area and comfort. A new carbon layup makes it stiffer while keeping the same light weight. The result? More control, smoother lift, and better energy transfer on every takeoff.
#3 - Composite-Style Hardware Installation
We’ve completely rethought how hardware connects to your board. Just like on composite boards, installation now happens from the bottom, making setup faster and easier. No more deck-side slots — just a clean, comfortable EVA deck pad for your feet.
#4 - Updated Aluminum Plate Design
The aluminium plate version also receives an upgrade. A dedicated nut gap between the EVA pad and plate keeps the nuts securely in place, while the bolts are installed from the bottom for a cleaner and more efficient setup.
#5 - Signature V-Shape and EVA Plug
Every New Air Foil with a carbon plate now features Starboard’s signature V-Shape for smoother takeoffs and softer touchdowns. The EVA plug system, introduced last season, keeps the bottom perfectly flat for the best water flow and glide.
#6 - Welded Rail Technology
The Welded Rail Technology creates a completely airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. This makes Starboard inflatable boards stronger and longer lasting. All inflatable foil boards feature welded rails, both along the board and at the foil opening.
#7 - Lightweight Deluxe Lite Construction
