At the Playa Surf CBbC Hotel Tenerife El Médano Windsurf Grand Slam, our rider Sarah-Quita Offringa broke new ground by clinching her first-ever Wave event win in Tenerife. It is a rare triumph at a venue where she had previously missed the podium—even as a 27-time world champion. This breakthrough not only delighted fans but also confirms her dominance on top at the season rankings as she aims for a fifth consecutive Wave world title.

Meanwhile, in the higly competitive Slalom X discipline, Matteo Iachino showcased great consistency. After tight battles Matteo was crowned 2025 Slalom X Vice World Champion. With six vice-world titles to his name, this Italian standout continues to prove he's among the most enduring and elite racers on the tour.

These results show just how exciting and high-level today’s windsurfing is. Sarah-Quita's big win in Tenerife, at a spot where she had never won before, and Matteo’s strong fight to keep his title highlight their determination and skill. As the season continues, fans can expect more action, with Sarah-Quita pushing for another Wave title and Matteo chasing the top spot in Foil Slalom.
