Starboard Riders Steal the Show at the PWA World Cup

The 2025 PWA Citroën Windsurf World Cup brought classic North Sea conditions — gusty winds, choppy, and non-stop action from start to finish. Through it all, Lennart Neubauer and Matteo Iachino delivered standout performances that embodied what Starboard is all about: innovation, determination, and a drive to push limits.

From Lennart’s groundbreaking freestyle performance, landing the first-ever Triple Culo in competition, to Matteo’s razor-sharp focus in foil slalom battles, both riders showed mastery under pressure. Lennart Neubauer makes history

For Lennart, the 2025 PWA Citroën Windsurf World Cup in Sylt was more than just a win — it was a statement. He dominated the single elimination in freestyle, taking first place with remarkable consistency and breaking the 40-point mark in every heat. Among his standout moments were a massive shifty shaka scoring 9.5 points and a nearly perfect Triple Culo — the first ever landed in a PWA competition. His performance proved he’s no longer just a rising star but a rider redefining what’s possible in freestyle. Lennart was using the Starboard iGNiTE 93 in every heat.

Matteo Iachino with one hand on the World Title

Matteo Iachino was delivering powerful performances in foil slalom, firmly reinforcing his position in the World Tour title race. After a shaky first round, he came back strong with a victory in the second elimination and stayed consistently near the top through the following heats. Across several days, Matteo closed the gap to just a few points. Racing on his Starboard foil board X-15, he proved both his skill and the reliability of his setup against the world’s fastest racers. Matteo’s overall second place in Sylt strengthened his PWA World Tour leading position in foil slalom discipline. Our rider from Germany Fabian Wolf also left great impression finishing in top 10 and shining especially in the first days of the event.
