Double Gold for Starboard at the Fuerteventura Freestyle World Cup

The 2026 PWA Freestyle World Cup in Fuerteventura delivered everything freestyle is known for: nuclear winds, massive ramps, and one of the highest-scoring finals the sport has ever seen. In front of a packed beach at Sotavento, the Starboard team put on a spectacular performance, claiming two victories and another podium finish.


 

Lennart Neubauer Wins an Epic Final

 

Lennart Neubauer once again proved why he is one of the sport's most exciting riders, taking victory after an unforgettable final against Yentel Caers. The two pushed freestyle to an incredible level, trading technical combinations and huge moves until the very last second.

 

Separated by just 0.11 points, the final became one of the closest and highest-scoring heats in recent PWA history, with Lennart holding his nerve to secure the win and defend his position through the double elimination.


Sarah-Quita Claims Another World Title

 

In the women's fleet, Sarah-Quita Offringa once again showed why she remains the benchmark in freestyle windsurfing.

 

After finishing second in the single elimination, she fought her way through the double elimination, defeating Maaike Huvermann twice to force and then win the Super Final. The comeback secured yet another Freestyle World Championship title, adding an incredible 29th world title to her legendary career.


 

 

Lisa Kloster Completes a Strong Team Result

 

Lisa Kloster added another podium finish for Starboard with an impressive third place. Sailing with confidence throughout the event, Lisa continued to prove herself among the world's elite, rounding off a fantastic week for the Starboard Freestyle Team.

 

 

With victories from Lennart Neubauer and Sarah-Quita Offringa, plus Lisa Kloster's podium finish, Fuerteventura once again showcased the strength of the Starboard Freestyle program. As the season heads towards its final stop in Sylt, the momentum couldn't be stronger.
