The legendary waters of Pozo Izquierdo once again delivered a spectacular start to the PWA World Wave Tour, with challenging and ever-changing conditions testing even the world's best riders. Despite the difficult forecast, Sarah-Quita Offringa showed her trademark consistency and composure to secure an impressive second place.

After battling through a highly competitive draw, Sarah-Quita advanced to the final, where she faced local legend Daida Ruano Moreno. While Daida claimed victory on home waters, Sarah-Quita's runner-up finish marks another outstanding result for the multiple-time World Champion and a strong start to her 2026 wave campaign.

Competing on the new Starboard Ultra 82, Sarah-Quita praised the board's confidence-inspiring feel in the demanding Pozo conditions:

 

"I feel like I have a lot of control with the board. I can really trust it through the bottom turn, and it gives a really nice release off the top."
