Last week, Matteo claimed victory at the iconic One Hour Classic in Torbole, Lago di Garda, adding another prestigious title to his already remarkable list of achievements. Held as part of the inaugural Garda Trentino Foil Days, the event brought together more than 140 riders across fin windsurfing, windsurf foiling, and wingfoiling, celebrating both the history and evolution of board sports.

Matteo about his victory:

"I'm really happy about the win. It has been a tough race, as usual. The One Hour Classic is always demanding on the body.

It's a full hour of racing, and this year's conditions were challenging because we didn't have much wind. The first day was the best, and then it just kept getting lighter. In total, we completed three days of racing on the water. The last day was actually too light, but during the first days we had races back-to-back, and it was a lot of fun.

I had a good battle with the boys. My gear was trimmed really well, and I felt comfortable throughout the event. Overall, it was a great race.
But as I said, it's always tough on your body because you have to push at your limit for a full hour. Then you come back the next day and do it all over again. It almost feels endless, but it's always a lot of fun to be on the water together, and it's really special to bring home the victory."

Competing in the fin division, Matteo once again proved why he remains one of the fastest riders in the world. Across three completed races, he delivered consistently dominant performances to secure the win in fin division.

Winning on Lago di Garda, one of the world's most iconic windsurfing venues, always carries special meaning, and doing so in front of a familiar crowd made the victory even sweeter.
