The 2025 Aruba Hi-Winds PWA Youth Slalom World Cup, held from May 28 to June 2 at Fisherman’s Huts, showcased the exceptional talent of Starboard’s Junior Dream Team. Among the standout performers was 15-year-old Bobbi-Lynn de Jong, who dominated the U21 girls' category by securing first place in both fin and foil disciplines. Her consistent performance throughout the event solidified her reputation as a rising star in youth windsurfing.

In the U21 girls' division, the De Jong twins, Kit and Lone, engaged in a thrilling sibling rivalry. Kit finished in second place in both fin and foil categories, while Lone closely followed, securing third place in the fin category and fourth place in the foil category. Their impressive performances highlighted the depth of talent within the Starboard team.

Adding to Starboard's success, Storm Nicolai delivered a commendable performance in the U21 boys' fin category, finishing second place. Louise van der Meulen, competing in her home waters, finished in third place in the U21 Girls foil category. Big shoutout to her as she is currently balancing the traning and competition events with the final exams at her school. All the Starboard riders were using the iSonic for the fin races and the X-15 for the foil races. 

The 2025 Aruba Hi-Winds PWA Youth Slalom World Cup was an exciting and windy event, perfect for fast racing. The young Starboard riders showed great skill and had strong results across all age groups, making it a great success for the team.

There were close battles on the water, lots of action, and big smiles at the end of each race. The energy was high all week, and the strong winds helped make it one to remember.

Now, it’s time to look ahead. The next stop is just around the corner, the PWA Youth Slalom World Cup in Bonaire next week. The team is ready, focused, and excited to keep the good results coming. Stay tuned!
