Starboard Riders on top at the PWA Foil Slalom World Cup in Guadeloupe

The 2025 PWA Riviera World Cup in Guadeloupe marked a triumphant start to the season for Starboard Dream Team. Leading the charge was Matteo Iachino, who dominated the men's slalom, winning every heat and elimination he contested. Matteo won the event with a clean sheat and kick-started his season. Equally impressive was Lina Eržen, who secured a strong second place in the women's division, signaling her rising prominence in the sport. We saw great results also from Femke van der Veen and Bobbi-Lynn de Jong who finished in top 5. All the Starboard riders we using the Starboard X-15

 

 

Men's Division

 

Matteo Iachino had a perfect start to his 2025 season at the PWA Riviera World Cup in Guadeloupe. He won all three slalom eliminations, showing great speed and control. Matteo’s strong performance gave him the event win and showed that he is ready to fight for the world title this year.





Matteo about his dominant performace at the event:

 

"I am really happy to start the season like this. I never had an event where I won every single elimination and every heat of the elimination. My performance and the gear were on point. I was using the X-15 85 with H8 9-8-7 in every elimination I sailed." 


 

 

Women's Division

 

In the women’s fleet, Lina Eržen made an incredible debut as the newest member of the Starboard Dream Team, finishing in a fantastic 2nd place at the PWA Riviera World Cup. Showing great speed and confidence, Lina immediately proved she belongs at the top. We saw great sailing from Femke van der Veen from the Netherlands, who continues her steady rise in the rankings. With smart racing and solid consistency, Femke attacked the top positions throughout the event and finished in 4th place. The youngest rider in the fleet, Bobbi-Lyn de Jong, impressed as well, showing huge progress in both speed and control. We saw her battling in the top 3 several times during the eliminations, proving her big potential for the future. She wrapped up the event in an excellent 5th place.
