On the small Caribbean island of Bonaire, where trade winds blow almost every day and the ocean feels more like a playground than a challenge, a new generation of windsurfers is quietly rewriting the future of the sport. Bobbi-Lynn, Lone and Kit de Jong didn’t just grow up near the water – they grew up in it. From an early age, windsurfing wasn’t a hobby but a natural extension of daily life.
What makes the de Jong sisters truly special is not only their talent, but their attitude. They represent a future where windsurfing is not just about competition and results, but about lifestyle, connection to nature and inspiring others to get on the water. Confident, passionate and grounded, they show that the next era of windsurfing will be shaped by athletes who are as strong in their values as they are on their boards.

We sat down with the de Jong sisters to talk about their journey in windsurfing so far, and what are their goals in the future.
